Questions you ask the assistant

Each question sent to the campus assistant is stored with a random session identifier — no name, no email, no IP address in the record — together with the detected intent and the length of the answer. The purpose is narrow: to see which questions the index cannot answer. The identifier lives in your browser session and disappears when you close the tab.

When the assistant answers with AI, your question and the recent turns of that conversation are sent to the inference service behind the assistant so it can draft a reply. The model does not answer from memory: before naming a campus, rank, tuition or address it reads this site's own index through search tools. The conversation is held in short-lived server memory for roughly thirty minutes, is not linked to your identity and is deleted after that. Each session has a limited number of AI answers; beyond it, only the curated index replies.

Advertising

Advertising space is reserved for Google Ad Manager (Ad Exchange) or Google AdSense and is enabled only through deployment configuration. While no network or publisher id is configured, ad slots render as inert labelled placeholders of exactly the same size and no third-party request leaves your browser.

Once advertising is live, Google and authorised technology partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other sites, and may process data for ad measurement and targeting. That processing is governed by Google's own terms.

A consent management platform must be enabled before personalised ads are shown to visitors from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland.

Analytics and server logs

No social pixels and no third-party analytics are embedded. The hosting platform keeps standard transport logs for security and operations. Pages are cached and regenerate on a schedule, so request volume stays low by design.

Your rights

Because no personal profiles are built, there is normally nothing to export. To have a chat session record deleted, send the session identifier from your browser storage via the contact page.
